First of all, there's a new commercial featuring a bunch of guys singing in this acoustic band thing - I think they were trying to imply a bunch of friends that get together at somebody's house to play songs. Anyway, I recognize the tune, but sure enough, they get to the chorus, and I hear:

"Viva Viagra!"

...what? What advertising genius thought of this one? I'd say that Elvis is rolling in his grave, but if he was still around he'd probably do the commercial himself.

They tell me there's going to be a "Sex and the City" movie. They should do a tie-in with another "Die Hard" or something. It needs some action, is all I'm saying.

I kind of got picked to do something cool. I don't know what it means yet, other than I'm going to be doing a lot of work on it. These guys came up with the idea of trying to break the world record for most people on a recording, and it looks like it's taking off with some major sponsors possibly getting behind it. You can check out the Facebook group if you're interested.

Among other projects, I'm working on getting a new music group started and maybe even a publishing company. It seems like a lot of things are happening at the same time, so I hope I can keep up with it all.

Most importantly, it's time for me to go back and enjoy such classics as "Final Fantasy VI", "Breath of Fire", and "Secret of Mana". Oh yes.

You should probably know that most of my blog energy has been directed to a few other places:

Facebook, where I post ridiculous items for people to ignore on their news feeds;

And Myspace (ack), where I blog on my band's page because I've been told if you want to get anywhere in this business, you have to play the game, and unfortunately the game is not Final Fantasy VI or Warsong. It's Talk to People and Crap. Championship Edition.

I'm keeping this here because it would be a lot of work to take it down, and I'll probably find a use for it once I'm famous.

"Obsessing over celebrity is wrong...unless that celebrity is bacon."

What has advertising come to?
