Copeland - Live in Sacramento 10/20/05
This freaking sucks. I found it for $6 at Tower so no big deal, but it's a real letdown. The sound is flat and boring, which is maybe the sound guy's fault, but the performance is just plain ugly. The vocalist never settles on a note but constantly slides from one to the next. The tempos are all too slow and it sounds like some songs are even done in lower keys. Or maybe it's just because the band is so out of tune. I was actually reminded of my last show recording, which I thought was bad but sounds way better than this.
Instant Live has a great idea, but maybe they should be a little more selective. Sell the concert recording on the spot, and then for retail release take the best songs from each show. Link
