Snopes is great. When people forward me emails that are being tracked to get me thousands of dollars or save some poor kid's life, I just look up the info on snopes and respond to the sender with the article.
I guess that's why I don't get many chain emails anymore.
The only gas rumor I ever heard was that cell phones should not be used at gas stations, and I only heard that one like 2 weeks ago.
There was one "boycott" day around here last year where everyone was not supposed to drive or shop anywhere on that day. No one did it. I broke that one when I went down to Firehouse subs for lunch.
