I happened to be browsing the Fark forums tonight when I came across this thread. Immediately, my "hobo sense" kicked in and I was driven to beg for a sweet sweet morsel of TotalFark.

First, I told a joke. Next, I devised a plan: I would offer my services as a composer for anyone who sponsored me. It worked - I've got a 6-month sponsorship thanks to a kind TotalFarkette by the name of Kelbel.

Anyway, I'm trying to sort out the madness now. TF is a ton of junk! Meanwhile, I've wasted a couple of hours already and am not anywhere closer to having something decent to bring in to my composition lesson tomorrow.

Tight! I thought about doing that, but this would probably not be the ideal month since I'm going home and the connection there is iffy at best.

How exactly does that work? I guess they just pay for your account? (Like $30 for 6 months or so?) That's pretty cool. Tell me if it's worth it.

You can sponsor somebody by specifying their login when you go to pay. It's $25 for 6 months, which is really nothing at all. So far it's been worth it simply because on TF most of the threads have 10 or less comments on them, so you have a chance to be heard and actually discuss things with people. It takes a while to get used to things, but I think it's worth it.

You can try out my TF account over the holidays to see if you like it.
